Public Domain Photos
This section contains the best images from the Public Domain. The public domain comprises
copyright-free works thet anyone can use them in any way and for whatever purpose. The reason
something might be in the public domain is because it was published before 1923, published
by a division of the United States Government (thereby paid for by public taxes), does not
contain significant human creative content (eg. a not sinificantly altered copy or photograph
of an object not created by the photographer) Deliberately released into the public domain by
its creator. There are many other reasons why a work might be in the public domain. For more

To download an image, click on the thumbnail, a popup window will appear that
displays the full-size image. Right-click on the full-size image and in the the menu that appears,
select "save Picture As...". In the "Save Picture" dialog box that appears, navigate to a folder
in which you want to save the image.
